The life of the writer is full of interesting events, unusual facts that help us from all sides to learn the genius of Russian literature.

1. “It seems that throughout his long life Lev Nikolaevich did not spend the whole year in one place,” his great-grandson Ilya Tolstoy wrote. The writer could not live without travel, travel. It was his air.
2. In one of his wanderings, the author witnessed human cruelty, which he later reflected in his work. In 1857, Tolstoy enjoyed the singing of a street musician in Lucerne. After the speech, the crowd around him began to laugh at him, and no one gave a sou.
